Let me Introduce Myself...

So I’m trying this blogging thing again...

My name is Lauren, I just turned 27 years old and I am a Brit living in Canada.

I have previously blogged during my university days but since lost the passion. However since living here in Canada, I have been itching to get back to writing to document my experiences and travels.

I don’t plan to post on any form of schedule, nor do I have any specific content in mind. I simply plan to have this page as an outlet for my thoughts and ramblings.

Mindset Matters

Long time no see... My last post on here was not the most positive I’ll be honest, and since I made that post it has been HARD to settle back into life in the UK and find myself amongst the chaos. The later months of last year were amongst the hardest of my life, and by far it was the lowest I have ever felt. It’s hard to explain but I like to try and be honest with people about mental health, because it’s absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, that’s what I tell anyone who confides in me that they are struggling, and if I was to keep quiet and not tell people then that would make me a hypocrite. Quarantraining - how I’m staying fit during lockdown!

Pole studio - closed Gym - closed Outdoor sports equipment - closed How are we supposed to train?! That's the question that's been on everyone's lips during these crazy coronavirus times. If there's one thing social distancing has taught us is just how resilient we are. So many people have adjusted their training regimens to accommodate all the rules and guidelines in their respective countries.  Of course that's not to say you have to train in lockdown, if you want to stay in your pj's and eat ice cream in bed all day then you do you boo. But for a lot of people, me included, I do not want to regress in terms of my fitness. As soon as the pole studio reopens I want to be getting stuck right in trying all the crazy fun tricks and throwing myself around.
